Spend a truly memorable day in our West Yorkshire jewellery studio designing and handcrafting your own wedding rings. 

Guided by Ghazal, an experienced jeweller of 20 years, you’ll create two completely personal bands using traditional tools and techniques - a special way to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter together. 

Your day includes one-to-one tuition, lunch, and a celebratory glass of bubbly once your rings are complete.

Prior to your workshop, Ghazal will contact you to discuss dates, design and metal options and material costs.

    What to Expect

    Your workshop begins with a warm welcome, tea or coffee, and a relaxed introduction to the materials and tools you’ll use.

    Throughout the day, Ghazal will guide you step-by-step through each process: measuring, forming, soldering, texturing, and finishing your rings to a professional standard.

    By the end of the session, you’ll have a pair of beautiful, completely unique wedding bands made by your own hands ready to be taken home, hallmarked or cast into platinum.

    Before The Workshop

    Before the workshop, we’ll arrange a short consultation (by phone/Facetime) to discuss your design ideas and confirm materials, sizing, and material costs.

    This ensures your day runs smoothly and your rings are exactly as you envision them.

    Gemstones, special finishes and hallmarking can be accommodated too. These are additional costs which we’ll confirm during your consultation.

    The Details

    Location: Horsforth, Leeds (West Yorkshire)

    Duration: Full day

    Includes: Private tuition, lunch, refreshments, and a glass of bubbly as well as access to Ghazals workshop and all the traditional tools to create your wedding rings.

    Materials are not included in the price due to rising costs of bullion; payment will be taken for this once your workshop date is arranged. Gold, platinum and gemstones are also available at additional cost.

    No prior experience required.

    Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

    • If you need to rearrange your workshop date, this can be done with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice in cases of illness or unexpected circumstances.

    • Full refunds are available only if the workshop is cancelled with at least 7 days’ notice prior to the booked date.

    • Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice are not eligible for a refund.

    If you do not attend your workshop on the day, or cancel outside of the notice periods stated above, a refund or alternative date cannot be offered as all workshops are prepared in advance with materials, time and studio availability reserved specifically for you.

    Can we make our own wedding rings in Leeds?

    Yes. Soremi’s wedding ring making workshop takes place in Ghazal’s studio in Horsforth, Leeds, just a short trip from the city centre. You’ll spend the day making your own wedding rings together, with Ghazal guiding you through each step. The full studio address and arrival details are sent after booking.

    Do we need jewellery making experience?

    No, not at all. The workshop is designed for complete beginners. Ghazal will demonstrate each stage before you try it yourself, including measuring, sawing, soldering, filing, shaping, handstamping and finishing your rings.

    What is included in the wedding ring making workshop?

    The workshop includes private tuition, use of professional tools, refreshments, a light lunch and a celebratory glass of fizz at the end of the day. Before your workshop, we’ll talk through your ring designs, sizes, materials and any extras so everything is ready for you.

    Can we make our wedding rings in gold or platinum?

    Yes. You can choose sterling silver, 9ct, or 18ct gold in yellow, white or rose gold. Platinum is also available. Due to bullion price fluxuations, silver, gold and platinum upgrades cost extra and are quoted before your workshop, as the final price depends on ring size, width, profile and metal choice.

    What ring styles can we choose?

    You can choose from different ring profiles including D-shape, court/oval, flat or comfort fit. You can also choose your finish, from high polish to matte, satin, hammered or bark texture. If you would like to add hand-stamped words, names or dates, we can talk through what is possible before your workshop.

    Can we add hidden names, dates or messages inside our wedding rings?

    Yes. Your rings can be made even more personal with hand-stamped words, names or dates. Engraving can also be arranged ahead of your workshop and quoted separately. It is a lovely way to add something private to the rings without changing how they look on the outside.

    What happens if we need to rearrange?

    If you need to rearrange your workshop, please get in touch as soon as possible. Date changes can usually be made with at least 24 hours’ notice in cases of illness or unexpected circumstances. Full refunds are only available when cancelled at least 7 days before the booked date.
