Join Ghazal, founder of Soremi Jewellery and goldsmith with over 20 years’ experience, for a hands-on spinner ring making workshop in Horsforth, Leeds, where you’ll design and make your own jewellery from scratch.

Held in Ghazal’s light-filled studio, this relaxed morning workshop guides you through the full process of creating a sterling silver spinner ring, entirely by hand. You’ll learn traditional silversmithing techniques and leave with a piece that feels solid, considered, and finished to a professional standard - something you’ll genuinely be proud to wear.

Spinner rings (sometimes called fidget rings) are designed to be moved and touched. You’ll create a wide base band and add two textured satellite rings that spin independently around it, giving the ring its distinctive, tactile quality - perfect for anyone who loves fiddling with their jewellery.

You can keep the design simple or add texture and subtle personalisation, creating something that feels completely your own.

This is jewellery making that’s calm, considered, and properly taught. No rushing, no pressure - just good craft, good guidance, and the satisfaction of making something real.

What to expect

Across three to three-and-a-half hours, you’ll learn how to measure, form, solder and finish your spinner ring using traditional silversmithing techniques.

You’ll create a wide base band and two independently spinning satellite rings, learning how each element is shaped, assembled and refined so the final piece moves smoothly and feels well made.

You’ll be able to choose your preferred finishes - from polished to satin or lightly textured, and build a ring that suits your style while still achieving a clean, professional finish.

You’ll leave wearing your finished spinner ring, along with new skills and a deeper understanding of how jewellery is really made.

Band options:

• 7mm wide band (included)
• 8mm wide band (+£15, arranged in advance)
• 10mm wide band (+£20, arranged in advance)

This workshop is perfect for:

No prior experience is needed. Workshops are intentionally small (maximum six people, minimum four) to allow plenty of individual attention and guidance throughout.

• Requests to change your workshop date can be accommodated provided at least 7 days’ notice is given before the booked date.

• Refunds are only available if
the workshop is cancelled with a minimum of 14 days’ notice prior to the booked date.

• Cancellations made outside of these timeframes are not eligible for a refund.

If you do not attend your workshop on the day, or cancel outside of the notice periods stated above, a refund or alternative date cannot be offered as all workshops are prepared in advance with materials, time and studio availability reserved specifically for you.
