Repetition, construction, form, abstraction and pattern. They are all-important aspects of my work, I have developed a new technique, which involves fusing precious metals. Fusing allows me to construct my own sheet out of masses of small sheet elements. The overlapping of the ovals and circles (simple shapes I often use) create a repetition of surface pattern. Different textures and imprints can be gained.Neckpieces and bracelets are made up of masses of single fused units, creating light and tactile qualities. Other pieces such as brooches are of more solid forms. However, there are often movable elements within these pieces, which bring them to life when worn!
